About Us

Established in 1970, Wonderland Humane Society was one of the first animal welfare groups to operate in Northern Michigan. Wonderland has served many community needs over the years including spay/neuter assistance, pet fostering, humane education. More recently, we have given financial assistance to local groups such as the Pit Stop/Save A Buddy Program and the Ani-Meals pet food pantry. We are funded by local donations and are not affiliated with any state or national Humane Society networks. Funds support programs such as spay/neuter cat clinics, which support local trap-neuter-release programs and fosters like Cassie's Kitten Cradle, dog spay/neuter vouchers with local veterinarians, and other efforts to improve animal health and welfare in our community. 

Wonderland Humane Society does not operate an animal shelter or facility. Our volunteers work from home and at special event locations. We have regular board meetings, which are on the third Thursday of each month from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm at the United Methodist Church, Cadillac, MI.
